To be able to look up to find the grid, and the way in which everybody seems to be funnier or happier in the backstage darkness, are the ingredients for my happiness.
But my favorite thing about theatre is Certainty, to know what is going to happen for the next 90 min, what words would be told and who I’ll get to see on every step of this short trip. This is why I love theatre, it doesn’t matter where you are doing it, or who are you doing it with, certainty will always come.
Is because of those moments of perfect balance, that I can afford and enjoy chaos and unpredictability because I know that sooner or latter theatre will be there to embrace me.
And the amazing thing about theatre is that even though everything seems to be so balanced and serene, so rehearsed and that everybody is connected on headset; the truth is that you can’t control it. The very best thing is that the moment you think you got it and you are so over it, it hits you again; and every single time, it takes your breath away.
